When monday.com is the better choice
Choose monday.com if many teams in your company will share one tool, if you need automations and integrations now, or if your HR work is mostly ongoing processes such as recruitment, onboarding and HR requests.
What monday.com is
monday.com work management is a platform for running almost any kind of team work. It is mature, with Gantt charts, automations, integrations and a large template library. Its HR templates cover recruitment, onboarding, HR requests and employee engagement surveys.
Where monday.com is stronger
- Breadth. One tool can serve HR, IT, marketing and operations. HRjects serves one kind of project well and others only through a general template.
- Ongoing HR work. Its HR templates cover recruitment, onboarding, HR requests and employee engagement surveys. HRjects does not do any of that.
- Automations and integrations. monday.com has them. HRjects has none today.
- Scheduling. monday.com has Gantt charts. HRjects has a phase timeline and a board.
- Track record. monday.com is established. HRjects is in preview.
Where HRjects is different
The HR templates listed for monday.com cover recruitment, onboarding, HR requests and engagement surveys. HRjects is about changing the system HR runs on. That is a one-time project with its own steps:
- Phase gates with exit criteria such as "Future-state maps signed off by HR, IT and Finance", with a record of who ticked each one and when.
- Process maps that put today's steps beside tomorrow's and turn each gap into a task.
- A parallel payroll tracker with a tolerance.
- A go-live readiness score with two checks nobody can override by hand: no open critical issues, and all payroll runs within tolerance.
When we checked its HR pages and template gallery on October 8, 2026, we found nothing specific to HR software implementation, such as phase gates with HR exit criteria, current-versus-future process maps tied to tasks, parallel payroll tracking or a go-live readiness score. That is what we found on those pages on that date, and the product may be able to do more.
Price
monday.com lists Basic at $9, Standard at $12 and Pro at $19 per seat per month billed annually. Plans start at 3 seats. Viewers are free, and guest access starts on the Standard plan. Which to choose
Choose monday.com if you want one platform for many teams, if your HR needs are mostly ongoing workflows, or if you depend on automations and integrations today. Choose HRjects if you are about to replace an HRIS or payroll system and want the plan, the process maps and the readiness decision in a tool made for that. Some teams will reasonably use both: monday.com for daily HR work and HRjects for the rollout. The phase-by-phase plan shows the structure HRjects starts from.
Prices are each vendor's public list prices, per user per month billed annually, as of October 2026. Prices change, so check the vendor's site. Product names are trademarks of their owners. This comparison is HRjects' own.
