How HRjects compares

Fair comparisons between HRjects and Smartsheet, monday.com, Asana, Teamwork.com and Rocketlane for HR software rollouts, including when the other tool is the better choice.

HRjects is a new, narrow product. It does one kind of project: rolling out HR software such as an HRIS, payroll, applicant tracking or benefits system. The tools on these pages are broader and far more established. Each of them is the better choice for some teams, and each page says when.

The short version

  • General project tools (Smartsheet, monday.com, Asana) give you a flexible blank canvas, Gantt charts, automations, integrations and large template libraries. You build the structure of an HR rollout yourself.
  • Client-work and onboarding tools (Teamwork.com, Rocketlane) are built for teams that deliver projects to their own customers, with time tracking and resource planning.
  • HRjects starts with the structure of an HR rollout already in place: four phases with gates and HR exit criteria, current-state and future-state process maps tied to tasks, a parallel payroll tracker, and a go-live readiness score that gives a Go or No-go. It has no Gantt chart, automations or integrations today.

How we compared

We read each vendor's public pricing page and its HR solution or template pages on October 8, 2026. We report list prices and what those pages described. We did not run hands-on tests of the other products, and we make no claims about features we could not see on those pages. Where HRjects lacks something the other tool has, we say so.

What HRjects costs

HRjects is free to use during the preview. The Free plan covers 1 project and 2 editors. Team is planned at $15 per editor per month billed annually, and Business at $35 per editor per month. Team and Business plans open soon. Owners and Editors are the paid seats. Contributors and Guests are free on every plan. See pricing.

Choosing

If your company already runs its projects in one of these tools and people know it well, staying there has real value. Consider HRjects when the rollout is the project that matters this year and you want the HR-specific structure without building it. You can try it for free with an example rollout, or read the FAQ first.

Prices are each vendor's public list prices, per user per month billed annually, as of October 2026. Prices change, so check the vendor's site. Product names are trademarks of their owners. This comparison is HRjects' own.
