About HRjects
HRjects is a project management tool built for HR software rollouts. What it is for, what we believe, and what it does not do yet.
HRjects is a project management tool for one kind of project: rolling out HR software. An HRIS, a payroll provider, an applicant tracking system, a benefits platform. It is made for the HR leaders and HRIT professionals who own those projects, and for the IT, Finance, Legal and vendor people who work on them.
Why HRjects exists
We wanted a tool that speaks to HR leaders and HRIT professionals from the first day of an HR project. Most project tools are built for everyone, so an HR team starting a system rollout has to teach the tool its own work before the project can begin. HRjects starts from the other end: it already knows the phases, the gates and the vocabulary of an HR rollout.
It is built for HR first. Any team in any industry can use it too, with a general template that keeps the same structure without the HR-specific parts.
What we believe
Rollouts fail in the gaps between tools
In a typical HR system project, the vendor has a plan for the vendor's tasks. IT has a ticket queue. Finance has a spreadsheet for payroll testing. HR has a slide deck of process maps and a document of open questions. Each of those is fine for its own purpose. The trouble is in between: the gap from a process map that never became a task, the sign-off that was assumed, the payroll test result that never reached the go-live meeting.
HRjects puts those pieces in one project. A gap on a process map becomes a task in one click. A critical issue in the log holds the readiness score at No-go. A payroll run outside tolerance does the same. The parts know about each other.
HR teams deserve a plan that already knows their work
A general project tool starts as a blank board. Before an HR team can use it, someone has to decide the phases, write the exit criteria, list the workstreams and design a readiness checklist. That is days of work for a team that may run a project like this once every several years.
An HRjects project starts with that structure: four phases with gates and HR exit criteria, workstreams from Core HR to Change & training, a starter list of processes to map, a parallel payroll tracker and a go-live readiness score. You change what does not fit and get on with the project.
A decision should leave a record
When someone ticks an exit criterion, HRjects records who and when. The go or no-go comes from a weighted checklist and two automatic checks, so the call rests on what the project shows. Months later, when someone asks why you went live when you did, the answer is there.
Project tools should not hold employee data
HRjects stores project information only: plans, tasks, process steps, checklists and issue descriptions. It is not designed to hold employee records, pay data or personal details about staff, and we ask customers not to enter them. The payroll tracker records a variance percentage and nothing else. This is deliberate. The less sensitive data a project tool holds, the less there is to protect. Our Security page has the details.
What HRjects is today
HRjects is a new, small product in preview. It is free to use for now, and Team and Business plans open soon.
It does a narrow thing. Each project has seven workspaces: Overview, Business case, Roadmap, Tasks, Process maps, Issues and Go-live readiness. There are three templates: Startup HRIS rollout, Enterprise HCM rollout and a General project template for other teams.
It also lacks things that established tools have. There is no Gantt chart, no task dependencies, no reminders, no integrations and no company single sign-on yet. These are planned. We have no SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification. We would rather tell you that here than have you find out later. Our comparison pages say when another tool is the better choice.
How we write about ourselves
Everything on this site describes the product as it is. Features that are planned are labeled as planned. We do not publish customer quotes or statistics we cannot back up.
Who is behind it
HRjects is a new, independent product. For now HRjects is a product name and is not yet registered as its own company. When it is placed under a registered company, this page and our Terms of Service will name it.
