Product
What is HRjects?
HRjects is a project management tool built for HR software rollouts: HRIS, payroll, applicant tracking and benefits systems. Each project has seven workspaces: Overview, Business case, Roadmap, Tasks, Process maps, Issues and Go-live readiness.
Who is it for?
HR leaders and HRIT professionals who run system implementations, and the IT, Finance, Legal and vendor people who work on them. Consultancies that run rollouts for clients can use it too. Other teams can run projects with the General project template. See use cases.
How is it different from a general project management tool?
A general tool gives you a blank board and you build the structure. HRjects starts with the structure of an HR rollout: four phases with exit criteria, HR workstreams, a starter process library, a parallel payroll tracker and a go-live readiness score. General tools are broader and more mature, with Gantt charts, automations and integrations that HRjects does not have. The comparison pages go through this tool by tool.
Does HRjects replace our HRIS or the vendor's implementation tool?
No. HRjects is where you plan and track the rollout. It does not store employee records or run payroll, and it does not connect to your HR system. Your vendor may keep their own plan for their tasks. HRjects holds the whole project, including the work the vendor's plan leaves to you.
Can I use it for projects that are not HR system rollouts?
Yes. The General project template has four phases (Plan, Design, Build, Launch) with gates, a tasks board, process maps, an issue log, a business case and a readiness checklist. The HR-specific parts, such as the parallel payroll tracker and the HR process library, are not included in that template. See the IT system rollout page for an example.
Does it have a Gantt chart, task dependencies or integrations?
Not today. The Roadmap shows phases on a timeline and the Tasks workspace is a board. Task dependencies and a draggable Gantt chart are planned. So are Jira and ServiceNow issue sync and Slack and Teams alerts. If you need those now, a general project tool will suit you better. See how HRjects compares.
What else is planned?
These are on the roadmap and not built yet: automatic email reminders for overdue tasks and open gate criteria, a no-login issue form for testers, a forecast go-live date that moves when tasks slip, a portfolio view across projects, company single sign-on (SAML), comments on tasks, file attachments, an assistant that drafts process maps and UAT scripts, and PDF and Excel status exports. We do not give dates for these.
Pricing
How much does HRjects cost?
There are three plans. Free is $0 for 1 project and 2 editors, with every workspace included. Team is $15 per editor per month billed annually, or $19 billed monthly, with unlimited projects and all templates. Business is $35 per editor per month, for larger programs and consultancies. Team and Business plans open soon. See pricing.
Can I buy a paid plan today?
Not yet. Billing is not built, so Team and Business are not on sale. HRjects is free to use during the preview.
Who needs a paid seat?
Owners and Editors are the paid seats. Contributors and Guests are free on every plan. In a typical rollout that means the people who shape the plan are paid seats, and the people who update their tasks, sign off gates, record test results or log issues are free. See roles.
What will the Business plan include?
Business is aimed at larger programs and consultancies. A portfolio view across projects, issue sync and client workspaces are planned for it. None of these is built yet.
Will I be charged when paid plans open?
We do not hold any payment details, so nothing can be charged until you choose a paid plan and enter them yourself.
Security and data
What data does HRjects store?
Project information only: plans, tasks, process steps, checklists and issue descriptions. For each user we hold an email address, a name if they give one, and their activity in projects. The full list is on the Security page.
Can I store employee records or pay data in HRjects?
Please do not. HRjects is not designed to hold employee records, pay data or personal details about staff, and we ask customers not to enter them. The parallel payroll tracker records a variance percentage only. Keep the pay comparison itself in your payroll and finance systems.
How does sign-in work without passwords?
You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email. We store no passwords. Links are single-use and expire after 20 minutes, and we store only a one-way hash of each link. You stay signed in for 30 days. Sign-in with Google and Microsoft is planned.
Is HRjects SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certified?
No. We do not have SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification, and we have not had an independent penetration test. We also do not offer company single sign-on (SAML), a choice of data region or an uptime guarantee yet. The Security page lists what we do and what we do not have.
Who else processes our data?
Two service providers: Replit for application hosting and the database, and Resend for sending sign-in and invitation emails. We do not sell customer data or use it for advertising. A data processing agreement is available on request.
Can one customer see another customer's data?
No. Every request is checked against the person's role in that workspace, and one customer's data is not reachable from another's account. Automated tests cover this.
Can I export or delete our data?
Yes. Owners can download all of a workspace's data as a file and can delete the workspace. Anyone can delete their own account. Removed projects are erased 30 days after removal. The steps are in this help article.
Getting started
How do I get started?
Sign in with a link sent to your email, name your workspace, and create a project from a template. The first-project guide takes you through it.
Which template should I choose?
Choose Startup HRIS rollout for one system, one country and one go-live. Choose Enterprise HCM rollout for a long program in regional waves with compliance sign-offs. Choose General project for anything that is not an HR system rollout. There is a side-by-side table in the template guide.
Can I look around before setting up a real project?
Yes. When you create a project from a built-in template, you can fill it with an example rollout that is already under way. The people and figures in it are made up.
Can I invite our vendor's consultant?
Yes. Invite them as a Guest. A guest sees one project, can change task status and can log issues. Guests are free. See inviting a guest.
How do I get help?
Start with the help center. If your question is not answered there, email support@hrjects.com.
