Plans, seats and billing
What the Free and Team plans include, how to upgrade, add or remove editor seats, change your card, get invoices and cancel, and what happens at a plan limit.
This article explains how plans and billing work in HRjects.
The plans
| Free | Team | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | $0 | $19 per editor per month paid monthly, or $15 per editor per month paid yearly ($180 per editor per year) |
| Projects | 1 project | As many as you need |
| Editors | 2 editors, owners included | One paid seat for each owner and editor |
| Contributors and guests | Free | Free |
| AI credits a month | 25 | 500 |
Prices are in US dollars and do not include sales tax or VAT. Where tax applies, it is worked out from your billing address and shown at checkout before you pay. There is no free trial. The Free plan is the way to try HRjects. A Business plan is planned and is not on sale yet.
Who can manage billing
Only workspace Owners. Owners see Billing in the workspace menu, and Open billing under "Plan and billing" in Settings. Payment is handled by Stripe. HRjects never sees or stores your card number.
Upgrade to Team
- Open the Billing page of your workspace.
- Under Plans, choose Pay monthly or Pay yearly.
- Set the number of Editor seats. The fewest you can buy is the number of owners and editors the workspace has now, counting editor invitations that are waiting. The most is 500.
- Press Upgrade to Team. You go to Stripe's page to enter payment details. The first period is charged that day.
When you come back, the Billing page shows the Team plan and its renewal date.
Add or remove editor seats
- On the Billing page, find Editor seats.
- Use the plus and minus buttons to set the new number.
- Press Change to … seats, then click again to confirm.
- Adding a seat: your card is charged straight away for that seat for the rest of the period. The Billing page shows the amount before you confirm. If the payment fails, the seat is not added.
- Removing a seat: the unused part of the period is taken off your next invoice.
- You cannot go below the number of owners and editors in the workspace, counting waiting editor invitations. Make someone a Contributor or cancel an invitation first.
Change your card or get invoices
Press Manage billing on the Billing page. It opens Stripe, where you can change your card, update the billing email and address, and download invoices.
Cancel
Press Manage billing and cancel there. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. Until then the workspace keeps Team, and you can renew in Manage billing if you change your mind. After that the workspace returns to the Free plan and keeps all its data. There are no refunds for a part-used period, except where the law requires one.
Renewal and failed payments
A plan renews automatically each month or year until it is cancelled. If a payment fails, the Billing page says so and shows Update your card. The workspace keeps its plan while Stripe retries the card. If payment still fails, it returns to the Free plan.
What happens at a limit
- On Free, you cannot open a second project or add a third editor. HRjects tells you and links to the plans.
- On Team, you cannot invite another editor when every seat is in use. Add a seat first.
- A workspace that returns to Free with more than 1 project or 2 editors keeps everything, and everything keeps working. It cannot add projects or editors until it is back within the limits or upgrades.
- Contributors and guests are never limited.
Switch between monthly and yearly
Owners can switch under How you pay on the Billing page.
- Monthly to yearly: happens the day you confirm. The unused part of the current month is credited, your card is charged for the year, and the year starts that day. The page shows the amount and how much you save before you confirm.
- Yearly to monthly: is booked for the end of the year you have already paid for. Nothing is refunded and nothing is charged before then. Until that day the page shows the date and a Keep yearly button that undoes the booking.
While a switch to monthly is booked, seats cannot be changed. Choose Keep yearly first, change the seats, then book the switch again.
Delete a workspace on a paid plan
Deleting a workspace cancels its subscription straight away, and the rest of the period you paid for is not refunded. See deleting a workspace.
Price changes
If the price of your plan changes, we email you at least 30 days before, and the new price applies from your next renewal. The full terms are in section 6 of the Terms of Service.
