Create a workspace and your first project

Sign in, name your workspace, and set up your first project with a template and a go-live date.

A workspace is your company's home in HRjects. It holds your projects, your saved templates and your people. A project is one rollout, such as a new HRIS or a payroll provider switch.

Create your workspace

  1. Go to the sign-in page and enter your email address. HRjects sends you a one-time sign-in link. There is no password to set. See signing in for details.
  2. Give your workspace a name. Your company name works well.
  3. You are now the workspace Owner. Owners can do everything, including inviting people and deleting the workspace.

Create your first project

  1. From your workspace, start a new project.
  2. Give it a name people will recognize, such as "HRIS rollout 2027".
  3. Choose a template: Startup HRIS rollout, Enterprise HCM rollout or General project. How to choose.
  4. Set a go-live date. It must be in the future. The four phases are spread across the time between today and that date. If you leave it blank, the Startup and General templates plan for about six weeks and the Enterprise template for about fifteen months. You can change the date later.
  5. Decide whether to fill the project with example data. Choose this if you want to look around a rollout that is already under way. Leave it off for a real project.

What you get

A new project opens with seven workspaces:

  • Overview: phase progress, days to go-live and what needs attention.
  • Business case: cost today, options, payback and the sponsor's decision.
  • Roadmap: four phases, each ending in a gate with exit criteria.
  • Tasks: a board with To do, In progress, Blocked and Done.
  • Process maps: current-state and future-state steps, with gaps.
  • Issues: a log for testing and hypercare.
  • Go-live readiness: a weighted checklist and, in HR templates, a parallel payroll tracker.

What to do next

One thing to know before you start: HRjects holds project information only. Please do not enter employee records, pay data or other personal details about staff. See Security.
