When Teamwork.com is the better choice

Choose Teamwork.com if you run projects for clients and need time tracking, budgets, resource planning and Gantt charts, for example as a consultancy billing by the hour.

What Teamwork.com is

Teamwork.com is built for client work. It has Gantt charts, time tracking, budgets, resource planning, intake forms and proofs, and client users are free.

Where Teamwork.com is stronger

  • Time and money. Time tracking and budgets are part of the product. HRjects tracks neither.
  • Resource planning. Teamwork.com has it. HRjects does not.
  • Gantt charts. Teamwork.com has them. HRjects has a phase timeline and a board, with Gantt and dependencies planned.
  • Intake forms and proofs. Useful for agencies. HRjects has no equivalent.
  • Track record. Teamwork.com is established. HRjects is in preview.

Where HRjects is different

Teamwork.com is organized around delivering work to a client and accounting for the hours. HRjects is organized around the decisions in an HR system rollout:

  • Is each phase finished? Gates with HR exit criteria, and a record of who ticked each one.
  • What changes for people? Current-state and future-state process maps, with gaps turned into tasks.
  • Can the new system pay people correctly? A parallel payroll tracker with a tolerance.
  • Are we ready? A weighted readiness score that gives a Go or No-go.

When we checked its HR pages and template gallery on October 8, 2026, we found nothing specific to HR software implementation, such as phase gates with HR exit criteria, current-versus-future process maps tied to tasks, parallel payroll tracking or a go-live readiness score. That is what we found on those pages on that date, and the product may be able to do more.

If you are a consultancy

HR and HRIT consultancies have a real choice here. If you bill by the hour and need to track time, budgets and staffing across clients, Teamwork.com does that and HRjects does not. If what you want is a repeatable rollout method your clients can see, HRjects lets you save a project as a template and invite a client contact as a Guest on their project. Client workspaces and a portfolio view are planned for the Business plan and not built yet.

Price

Teamwork.com lists Basics at $9.99 per user per month billed annually with a 3-user minimum, and Accelerate at $24.99 with a 5-user minimum. Client users are free. HRjects is free during the preview. Its Team plan is planned at $15 per editor per month billed annually, and Business at $35 for larger programs and consultancies. Neither is on sale yet.

Which to choose

Choose Teamwork.com if client billing, time tracking and resource planning are central to how you work. Choose HRjects if you are the HR or HRIT team that owns the rollout, or a consultancy that wants the HR-specific structure and can track time elsewhere. See saving a project as a template and inviting a guest.
